KANEKA History

KANEKA Corporation was founded in Japan in 1949, and has been engaged in the manufacturing and sales of numerous highly specialized products within various fields of businesses including foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, functional plastics, expandable plastics, chemicals, electric raw materials, and synthetic fibers.

The company started a large-scale production of margarine and shortening in 1953 under KANEKA, and quickly boosted its production output to include other high quality products in the bakery and confectionery market.

KANEKA Group has established a total of 9 factories in Japan and 3 more factories overseas for food manufacturing.

With well over 70 years of food science and technology experience, KANEKA Corporation has matured as one of the key suppliers for bread-related material in Japan.

PT KANEKA Foods Indonesia was established in 2013.

The factory in Karawang was completed in 2013, and since then PT KANEKA Foods Indonesia has continuously supported bakery industry advancements through the implementation of food science. In early 2021, the factory was moved to Cibitung, with larger capacity of production and wider range of products for achieving application innovation.

First acquired Halal Certification, which was our very first certification to become reliable partner for food & beverages industry business.

First filling production and reach 16 employees

Filling product was the very first product that has been produced in our factory plant, followed by other products such as improver and margarine sheet.

Acquired Halal Assurance System with Grade A

First time produce Margarine Sheet. To assure our consistency and reliability in applying Halal system in our factory, we achieved the HAS certification with great score.

Acquired first FSSC22000 3rd Version

An upgraded certification to our facility system, a high-grade certification we obtained to make our facility and products is more reliable for all kind of requirements to the market situation.

PT KANEKA Foods Indonesia moved the factory to Cibitung and reach 125 Indonesian employees by 2021

Along with the growth of Bakery market in Indonesia, we moved to a bigger scale of manufacturing place with high technology to produce higher quality of goods, which can support the variety of market needs.
